Freestyle sports are dynamic and exciting, providing participants with the ability to express themselves creatively through movement and an incredible range of tricks. To help capture the power and explosive nature of freestyle, British Gymnastics has developed a new club-based activity called FreeG, which introduces a range of freestyle-specific equipment and training techniques to take trick learning, to a new level.
FreeG fuses traditional gymnastic and acrobatics, with kicks, leaps and tricks made famous through activities commonly practiced in urban settings. FreeG will get your heart racing and develop a heightened sense of spatial awareness that can be put to good use in a variety of other sports (including boarding, biking, skiing, climbing and surfing.)
Orchard Gymnastics have been front runners in the development of this new and exciting discipline and were one of the first venues in the country to house a set of purpose designed 'Modublox' freestyle gymnastics apparatus.
Free G classes offer a varying degree of independence to participants allowing them to decide upon the apparatus, tricks and skills they want to work on. Fully qualified 'BG' Freestyle coaches oversee activities and coach the skills.
Classes run on Tuesdays 5.45 – 6.40 for 6 – 10 years, 6.35 – 7.30 for 9 – 12 years and 7.25 – 8.50 for 13 – 17 years.

Freestyle for the community
Orchard Gymnastics have developed and delivered freestyle programmes to local schools and organisations including 'Targeted Youth Yeovil', 'Reach Youth', 'Inaura' and Yeovil College. Programmes have significant success in positively engaging often challenging youngsters and we proudly work with 'inclusion' groups form a number of local secondary schools. Contact us if you're an organisation that would like to discuss the use of our facilities and coaches.
